Bergmann designs machines with effective compaction, easy handling and low maintenance costs, with attention focused on long lasting and robust design. Many machines have a lifetime of more than 20 years. Bergmann Alpha Pack Bins (APB) are characterised by very high compaction results due to the linear position of the press cylinder and the continuous feeding in a large, easy to feed loading aperture.
These APB compactors are highly efficient in compacting paper, cardboard packaging, plastics and other dry materials, including refuse with the APB 606 SN/20 compacting approximately 4.5 tonnes of cardboard and 6.5 tonnes of plastic.
Huge loading aperture (approx. 1,700 x 2,000 mm) with a volume of 4.5 m³
Enormously high processing capacity of 2.00 m³ per working stroke
Bin with pendulum roof for trouble-free emptying
High compaction force of 345 kN with APB 606 SN 20
Press plate guiding system with 100% compaction force over the full stroke length.
High filling weights of, on the average 4.5 tons cardboard boxes in the APB 606 SN 20 and more
Compactor stroke in only 36 seconds
Durable, purely hydraulic drive unit with maintenance-free central hydraulic block
Compaction chamber and press plate constructed from extremely high steel strengths. Bottom of the loading aperture made of high-quality and wear-resistant steel.
Front and rear pick-up hook variable in height for adjustment to all standard roll-off skip loaders
Laterally fastened door with 3 central locks via easy-to-serve ratchet catch.
Pendulum claws on the break edge and the large immersion depth of the compacting piston avoid that the waste streams back.
Easily accessible hydraulic power pack above the compaction chamber through wing doors
Great stability with economic net weight
Machine TÜV/GS and CE-certified
Skirting protection of the control elements for protection against damages
Container is continuously welded.
Circulation of the material due to special circulation edges at the discharge opening results in a high-volume utilisation of the container
Completely “Made in Germany” by qualified and experienced staff.

Additional Info
Key features of the APB 606 waste baler
Pendulum roof The APB 606 is equipped with a pendulum roof that has been especially developed to assist the emptying process. The free hanging roof gives additional space for the material when the container is tipped and so any clamping of the material can be avoided.
Galvanized fittings It’s important that moving and highly used parts are robust and so Bergmann designs machines with fittings that are weatherproofed by being galvanized.
Linear compaction
The linear direction of the hydraulic cylinders effects a 100% transmission of power on the compaction material and therefore achieves highest compaction results. In comparison to a cross-cylinder compactor, the APB 606 gives a 20-25% advantage. The Bergmann principle with the overthrow blade compacts cardboard and reuse material very efficiently. Cleaning work underneath the compaction blade is not necessary due to self-cleaning equipment and because of this there are no cleaning costs. Additionally, the full volume of the compaction chamber is available in every step of the compaction cycle which is also different to cross-cylinder models.
Self-cleaning press piston Conventional compaction systems of portable compactors need regular cleaning. If this weekly 15-20 minute work is not done regularly, it can result in high expensive repair costs.
Standard features include a high-capacity compaction chamber with a pendulum roof ensuring easy emptying, rollers and hooks on the front and rear, and a compaction chamber of 1700mm x 2000mm.
A range of accessories are available when ordered with the machine including high side walls, hydraulic 75% and 100% full signals, lockable covers over the control panel, together with pinion and comb lift bin lifts and bin lid openers, guide rails and a double pump, plus special RAL paint.
There are four models in the range: SN14, SN18, SN20 and SN23.

If you produce multiple waste streams concurrently, such as cardboard and plastic, with the Bramidan 2-0F, rather than needing to wait until a bale of one material is finished before ejecting it, you can bale both materials at the same time, one in each chamber.
